Our hostel Altes Spital is a cozy, small hostel in the middle of Balingen. Located in the trendy Südstadt district, we are surrounded by cafes, restaurants, parks and an puplic outdoor swimming pool and of course the colorful Balingen nightlife. The town center of Balingen around the market square can be easily reached within 5 minutes on foot. A good place to experience the beautiful town of Balingen in a relaxed manner.
Rooms
Bett im 5-Bettzimmer (Zimmer 1 - Eyach)
Stockbett im Fünfbettzimmer als gemischter Schlafsaal.
Einfache Ausstattung mit Gemeinschaftserlebnis.
Die Toiletten und Waschbereiche befinden sich außerhalb des Zimmers (gegenüber). Der Aufenthaltsraum befindet sich auf demselben Stockwerk.
Das Zimmer kann auch als Gruppe für bis zu 8 Personen gebucht werden.
Als gemischter Schlafsaal haben wir die Anzahl der Gäste auf 5 begrenzt.
Bett im Vierbettzimmer (Zimmer 2 - Steinach)
Stockbett im Vierbettzimmer als gemischter Schlafsaal.
Einfache Ausstattung mit Gemeinschaftserlebnis.
Die gemeinschaftlich zu nutzenden Toiletten und Waschbereiche befinden sich wenige Schritte vom Zimmer entfernt. Der Aufenthaltsraum befindet sich genau angrenzend zum Zimmer.
Das Zimmer kann auch komplett für eine Gruppe von 4 Personen gebucht werden.
Dreibettzimmer
Doppelbett im 2. OG (Optional kann eine weitere Person im Stockbett dazu gebucht werden).
Einfache Ausstattung mit Gemeinschaftserlebnis.
Die Toiletten und Waschbereiche befinden sich außerhalb des Zimmers auf demselben Stockwerk.
Der Aufenthaltsraum befindet sich im 1. OG.
Ein Babybett kann optional kostenfrei im Zimmer 3 oder 7 dazu gebucht werden.
(Zimmer 3: Gräbelesberg, Zimmer 4: Hörnle, Zimmer 7: Plettenberg)

The "Hostel Altes Spital" in Balingen offers the unique opportunity to stay overnight in a historic building.
It was built in the years after the devastating city fire of 1809, which destroyed the that stood here previously. After the catastrophe, the current building was constructed to serve as a combination of a retirement home and a poorhouse. The residents were popularly called "Spittelmucken".
With nice facilities and an excellent location perfectly nestled between the popular restaurant Bären, the district court, the Eberthalle, the school center of the vocational schools and some important German companies, the hostel offers a convenient location to guests.The pedestrian zone and center of Balingen can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Likewise, the outdoor pool, town hall and exhibition center with the Volksbank exhibition hall and the Sparkassen Arena are all close. Guests will have convenient access to popular venues for trade shows, sporting events,
Concerts such as the Bang Your Head Festival and the traditional Balingen folk festival. With Balingen’s extensive public transportation network and Hostel Balingen’s convenient location, you will be able to reach anywhere in Balingen with ease.
